Strategic Planning and Business Execution Intern

Internship Period: 11 Jan 2027 – 30 Jun 2027

Job Description

  • Support the planning and strategy function relating to multiple business initiatives, such as balance sheet optimization, customer tiering, and senior sponsorship programs.
  • Perform marketing support and reporting tasks, including designing toolkits and templates, gathering information from branches, analyzing regional data, and creating reports and presentations for management.
  • Enhance business development through effective communication between branches, product offices, and regional office functions.
  • Participate in and gain exposure to the governance framework in APAC for both business promotion and the first line of defence, including involvement in the deal screening process focused on securing profitability, efficient capital allocation, and cross-sell opportunities submitted by branches across APAC.
  • Conduct financial data analysis, track regional portfolio data, and propose necessary enhancements and action plans.
  • Support the Business Intelligence and analytics team on preparing data and undertaking data support.
  • Provide relevant insights in business strategy and penetration as the regional HQ.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and teams across the corporate banking portfolio, products, and the overall industry.

Job Requirements

  • Keen eye for detail and intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Project, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Growth mindset and self-starter who is motivated to find opportunities and solutions.
  • Ability to be both people- and results-oriented.
  • Strong written and spoken English proficiency is required.
  • Language proficiency in any other Asian languages will be useful, as the role requires coordination with regional partners.
  • Willingness and ability to multi-task and deliver work under demanding timelines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work efficiently in a team and independently.
  • Brings fresh perspectives, forms independent opinions, and is open to constructive discussion.
  • Attention to detail and desire to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Willingness to problem-solve and hustle to find solutions (even if unconventional), with positivity and a “can-do” attitude.
