Position Overview

The successful candidate will support the APAC leadership team in Singapore, reporting to the APAC Chief of Staff. The role provides direct support to a diverse set of businesses in the region by driving strategic initiatives, working with existing APAC investment and capital formation teams to drive growth, and helping manage day-to-day operations.

The candidate will be heavily involved in developing and managing a broad range of business priorities alongside key stakeholders, with daily exposure to senior management across Asia Pacific and globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to grow and manage a leading asset management platform by leveraging their experience to pursue new ideas and execute on the firm’s strategic ambitions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy & Execution: Support the Head of Asia Pacific and Asia Business Leaders in all aspects of organic growth, including monitoring market trends and competitor activities, conceiving and developing new business ideas, driving buy-in and budget support discussions with senior management, and executing the business strategy to drive growth. Manage day-to-day operations and ensure routines and tracking mechanisms are in place to follow up on key decisions and action items arising from discussions.
  • Cross Platform & Culture Initiatives: Partner with senior management and the human capital team to define and drive key initiatives based on business coverage. Examples include defining an Asian build strategy, building strong teams, and solidifying the Apollo culture in the region.
  • Special Projects: Execute on ad-hoc requests from senior management, including preparing firm communications, firmwide strategy reviews, external presentations and conferences, and organizational restructurings alongside various business and enterprise solutions teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant experience at an investment bank, consulting firm, asset manager, or in a corporate strategy role, ideally with a focus on financial institutions or asset management.
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities, detail orientation, and exceptional technical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities; must demonstrate a proactive, positive attitude toward assigned tasks.
  • Self-starter with willingness to execute projects in a small, nimble team.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive information and confidential situations.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative attitude is required.
