This internship programme is full-time. Leave of Absence (LOA) may be required to take on the internship.

Finance and Corporate Development Roles

Corporate Treasury

Brief Overview: Corporate Treasury serves as SGX’s financial risk manager, seeking to protect the company’s value from financial risks exposed through the business. These risks include liquidity risk, credit risk, currency risk, interest rate risk and operational risk. Corporate Treasury performs these activities under a structured framework with established policies.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the internship, the successful candidate will have an appreciation of:

• Cash and liquidity management
• Overview of investment management and liability management
• Risk and controls in respect of processes and transactional flows

Job Description

• Provide support to transactional execution for fund placement, fund transfer and FX settlement.
• Provide support to cashflow forecasting with involvement in preparation and execution.
• Provide support to collateral management with involvement in preparation and execution.
• Assist in proper documentation for audit and reviews.
• Depending on the opportunity set and the candidate’s performance and aptitude, participate in projects that enhance Treasury’s funding, investment activities and system capabilities.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Self-motivated team player who is meticulous, organised, and able to learn independently.
• Numerically inclined and process-oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Python is not a must but a plus.
