About the Strategy and Management Program

Driving innovation while transforming your career at the world’s best financial services firm begins with you.

The Strategy and Management Summer Program is our 10-week internship. It provides an exclusive preview of an elite, two-year development training program (recently recognized in 2023 with a Brandon Hall Group Gold Award for most innovative or unique talent acquisition program). The program prepares teammates to become future corporate leaders at Bank of America by providing direct experience in Digital Technologies, FinTech, Strategy, Innovation, and Management.

Teammates will work in our innovation function (Bank of America Strategy & Business Ventures) to help drive strategic growth initiatives across our core business units. You will be exposed to multiple parts of our business and learn how to develop, test, launch, and operationalize new strategies to better serve our clients. You will also participate in a comprehensive training curriculum taught by Bank of America and industry experts, designed to enable general manager capabilities.

Bank of America’s Strategy & Business Ventures team functions as an internal strategic consulting function for a wide range of leaders across the bank. This group provides high-fidelity learning opportunities in broadly relevant skills (research, modeling, presentations, problem-solving methodologies, data visualization, and storytelling) and will provide exposure to a diverse array of people, processes, and organizations within the bank.

As a Strategy & Management Summer Intern, You Will

• Build an in-depth understanding of the business, client needs, and opportunities by gaining exposure to senior leaders and supporting high-priority strategic initiatives across functions such as strategy, product management, marketing, sales enablement, digital, operations, payments, and analytics.
• Be part of an organization that drives initiatives with the potential to shape industries, supported by our reach (10 billion annual client interactions and 4,000+ financial centers nationwide) and cutting-edge expertise (4,000+ patents; 6,000+ teammates are inventors).
• Work with diverse, high-performing project teams to develop strategic recommendations with key internal leaders; test, launch, and operationalize new capabilities as part of these strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a bachelor’s direct-to-master’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028.
• Appreciates an environment that supports learning, innovation, intelligent risk-taking, integrity, and flexibility.
• Builds and nurtures strong relationships, while collaborating to get things done.
• Demonstrates strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, creativity, listening, communication, and presentation skills.
• Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Desired Skills

• 3.2 minimum GPA preferred.
• Pursuing a major area of study including, but not limited to: Business Management, Economics, Finance, Consulting, Mathematics, Data Analysis, FinTech, Marketing.
• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
