Our Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) business focuses on building long-term relationships with large US and multinational corporations, financial institutions and financial sponsors. GCIB provides strong advisory expertise, capitalizing on powerful mergers and acquisitions, corporate banking, treasury, debt and equity product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions.

Team & Role

The Regulatory Strategy and Implementation team is aligned to the GCIB Chief of Staff, focusing on risk governance, data and process management, regulatory and strategic initiatives across Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Global Capital Markets. Our specialized team understands the unique complexity of each business and ensures operations meet strategic goals. In addition to oversight of global regulatory developments such as data privacy and protection, governance and sanctions, we drive strategic infrastructure initiatives to ensure GCIB complies with all laws, rules and regulations.

Program Overview

Your role during the internship will provide valuable analytical-based work experience focused on strategy and risk management, offering insight into delivering holistic solutions across corporate and investment banking and a strong platform to launch your career.

The Summer Analyst program offers broad exposure to the full breadth of products and services we provide to clients and prospects. Training and development are priorities, with extensive formal training at the start of the program, in addition to on-the-job support from industry leaders, educational speaker events, and mentorship opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models
  • Performing various financial analyses
  • Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
  • Preparing senior management presentations and other materials for internal clients
  • Communicating and interacting with team members and senior leaders
  • Managing several projects simultaneously and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a bachelor’s direct-to-master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation window between November 2027 and August 2028
  • Demonstrated track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA preferred
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail, and client focus
  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills
  • Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, and teamwork
  • Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
  • Dedication to building a career in the corporate banking industry
  • Influences decisions and outcomes through effective communication and interpersonal skills
