Overview

The Client Services Associate is a developing professional role. This role identifies policy and applies specialty knowledge in monitoring and assessing processes and data. It integrates established disciplinary knowledge within the own specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. The role requires a good understanding of how the team interacts with others to accomplish area objectives. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Must be able to exchange information concisely and logically and be sensitive to audience diversity. The role has limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of tasks and services provided, with impact restricted to the holder's own team.

Responsibilities

  • High proficiency in Capital Markets, Bloomberg, Reuters, and Microsoft Office; monitor money manager performance and update monthly
  • Provide high level support to Securities Specialists including but not limited to client market updates, new account opening and modification, documentation approval, wire transfers, journals, stock transfers, account maintenance, capital call notices, fixed income maturities, settled free cash, reorganization notices, performance reporting, and Executive Financial Services requests
  • Build and maintain relationships with the client base; be familiar with target clients for various investment products and offerings
  • Manage high call volume, screen and prioritize phone calls, and take initiative with client inquiries
  • Depending on business model, liaise with Private Banking Universe including Private Bankers, ROEs, Investment Counselors, Securities Specialists and/or Wealth Team including Advisors, Relationship Managers, and Investment Counselors
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi and its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
