Job Description
The Client Advisor Assistant supports Relationship Managers in servicing client accounts by understanding, anticipating, and executing client transactions, and providing excellent administrative and organizational support. This is a Covered Person role, i.e., a licensed representative who is in a client-facing role and provides financial advisory services to Accredited Investors.
Responsibilities
- Support Client Advisors (RMs) in client interaction, attend to client queries, and review and resolve client inquiries and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Prompt and accurate processing of clients' banking and investment transactions, including order taking and trade execution; activities also cover account onboarding and static maintenance, asset transfers, deposits, and loan processing.
- Provide ongoing financial advisory services to clients through the compilation and provision of marketing presentations, publications/research reports/investment products/high conviction recommended lists, and attend to investment product queries as required.
- Provide information pertaining to client accounts, collate reports, prepare client documents, and follow up with clients as necessary.
- Support the team with ad hoc administrative duties to ensure optimal client service.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations and internal policies and standards; escalate service issues to relevant internal stakeholders.
- As required, senior CAAs provide mentorship to new CAAs and participate in ad hoc projects (e.g., systems application UAT, process improvements, and focus groups).
Academic Qualification & Certifications
(i) A GCE ‘A’ Level certificate with passes in at least three subjects at “Higher 2” level and two subjects at “Higher 1” level; or
(ii) An International Baccalaureate Diploma; or
(iii) A diploma awarded by a polytechnic in Singapore; or
(iv) An academic qualification equivalent to those set out in (i)-(iii).
Client Adviser Competency Standards (CACS) Assessment:
- Paper 1: Legislations, Regulations & Industry Codes of Practice
- Paper 2: Industry & Product Knowledge
Skills & Experience
Duties require a CAA to be meticulous with details and a team player with strong motivation to deliver excellent client service. Good communication skills and the ability to manage time and prioritise responsibilities are essential. Experience as an Assistant RM in a priority banking segment or experience in branch banking or wealth segments is an entry pathway into the role. Knowledge of booking and settling trades across asset classes and products (e.g., bonds, equities, FX-linked products, unit trusts, structured notes) and handling account opening documents, payments, and securities transfers is advantageous, though not mandatory.
