Job Objectives
- Support requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for statements, letters, and reports within core banking systems.
- Assist in creating and maintaining Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) for development and testing teams.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, and testing teams to ensure requirements are clear, complete, and accurate.
- Leverage modern tools, including automation and AI-assisted documentation tools, to improve the efficiency and quality of requirements documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering and Analysis (50–60%)
- Work with senior Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements for statements, advices, and reports.
- Participate in requirements discussions, walkthroughs, and clarifications with business and technical teams.
- Analyze existing processes and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Document business requirements clearly and concisely.
Functional Specification Documentation (30–40%)
- Prepare and maintain Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) based on business requirements.
- Ensure FSDs include:
- Detailed functional requirements
- Data mappings and field-level details
- Business rules and validation logic
- Sample outputs, such as statements, letters, and reports
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure requirements are well understood and testable.
- Update documentation based on feedback received during SIT and UAT cycles.
Testing Support and Process Improvement (10–20%)
- Assist in preparing test scenarios, test cases, and validation criteria based on FSDs.
- Support the validation of generated documents, including PDF statements and advices, against requirements.
- Contribute to initiatives involving automation or AI-based document validation tools by helping define business rules and expected outputs.
- Explore the use of AI and GenAI tools to improve documentation, requirements analysis, and knowledge management.
Key Requirements
- Knowledge of core banking systems, document generation frameworks, and batch processing systems.
- Some understanding of requirements gathering and FSD preparation.
- Understanding of structured and semi-structured document validation, including PDFs, reports, and statements.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools, data analysis, and process improvement techniques.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
