Our International Wealth and Premier Banking business helps customers take care of their day-to-day finances and manage, protect, and grow their wealth. What You’ll Do

This internship provides the grounding you need for a thriving career as a Relationship Manager when you graduate. You’ll gain a comprehensive insight into the International Wealth and Premier Banking business by working with teams across areas such as the Chief Operating Office, Digital Transformation, Distribution/Frontline, Product Development, and Strategy.

You’ll begin developing the skills and knowledge needed for a future career in relationship management by working alongside professionals from different parts of the business to better understand client needs and deliver solutions.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll get involved in:

• Work with teams to understand how they support customers with everything from everyday banking to long-term financial planning.
• Gain an understanding of the product suite, including current accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance, and wealth management.
• Gain exposure to digital tools and understand how we track conversations, manage relationships, and uncover new opportunities.
• Understand how different laws and regulations affect international clients—and how we deliver consistently.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll start with a week of structured training to get you up to speed. From there, you’ll have a mix of hands-on learning, mentoring, and skills coaching to help you thrive.

You’ll build skills in:

• Technical know-how: Learn how different products work and how to use them to help clients.
• Relationship building: A skill that will set you up for success.
• Sales and negotiation: Understand how to match clients with products and present ideas with confidence.

By the end of your internship, you’ll know exactly what a career in Relationship Management in this area of the bank looks like—and where you could take it.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

• Be available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2027.
• Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent, as shown on your official university transcript/degree certificate).
• Be fluent in English; knowledge of Mandarin/Cantonese would be an advantage.
• Be legally permitted to work in Hong Kong for the full duration of the programme and beyond, without requiring HSBC visa sponsorship.
• Expected to graduate between November 2027 and July 2028.
