Key Responsibilities
Strategy
The role assists Relationship Managers (“RM”) in delivering business results by providing quality information flow and banking and investment services to clients, and in advising on and executing transactions. The role plays a significant part in fulfilling and maintaining internal controls, risk governance, compliance policies, client communication, and profiles to prevent operational risk events and meet regulator requirements and standards.
Business
- Provide comprehensive client support services to RMs in executing a broad range of banking and investment transactions for Private Banking clients.
- Provide concise and relevant information flow and execute all client transactional and administrative needs accurately and on a timely basis.
- Handle and resolve day-to-day queries from clients and RMs regarding transactional activity, operations, systems, and account re-balancing processes.
- Support RMs in completing sales documentation and related processes (e.g., client profiling / KYC diligence) and inputting this information, along with deal information, into data capture and/or transaction processing systems.
- Assist RMs in preparing Business Credit Applications, financial review documentation, and other customer correspondence as required.
- Support RMs in addressing and following up on customer service issues with clients and internal departments, and in all cases, report and escalate customer complaints to management according to established procedures.
Processes
- Handle and ensure that client documents and reporting comply with internal process standards.
- Ensure full awareness of and adherence to policies and procedures, such as credit policy and operational procedures.
Risk Management
- Comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures, specifically highlighting suspicious activities or behaviour from clients and staff (e.g., account irregularities) and alerting the TL/CA of suspicious transactions promptly.
- Be fully compliant with regulations and Group policies and guidelines, and be able to highlight, mitigate, and protect the bank against credit, legal, documentation, repetition, and other risks.
- Conduct business at all times in a compliance-conscious manner and alert to potential risks of money laundering and other undesirable transactions or activity during and after the client on-boarding process.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance, in letter and spirit, with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience
- Competency in MS Office.
Qualifications
- Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examination, HKSI 1, 7 & 8.
- Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination, IIQE 1, 2 & 3.
