IM Ops - Junior Investment Operations Administrator

To provide administrative support to the Investment Management Operations team (IM Ops), this role requires working closely with the Investment Management team and interfacing with all other areas of the bank and third-party providers.

The team manages all operational issues covering client onboarding, providing Best Execution for trades, settlement, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, dividend and corporate actions processing, as well as providing clients with valuation and tax reporting.

The individual will primarily provide administrative cover for the Dealing team but will also rotate through other teams within IM Ops, including:

Dealing

Execution of all investment trades, covering Equity, ETF, FX, & Funds. Ensuring adherence to Best Execution policy. Liaising with Investment Management (IM)/Supporting Investment Management (SIM) on the status of trades and helping to manage the process of investing new money or client liquidations. Managing the placement of model trades and advising the team on liquidity and timeframes when dealing in specific stocks.

Client Transitions

Account maintenance, opening and closing investment accounts/transfers of investments, assets, and payments between organizations. Maintaining and amending client static data, and setting up and maintaining Securities/Pricing of Securities.

Middle Office & Control

Reconciliations and client reporting, preparation/validation, and distribution of Tax Packs and valuation statements. Monitoring portfolio performance in line with MiFID directive, ensuring clients are notified of a 10% drop in portfolio value.

Asset Servicing

Settlement of all transactions through CREST and via global custodian arrangement. Monitoring and processing all Corporate Actions and dividends, transaction reporting, and issuing client contract notes.

Technical Oversight

Regulatory reporting, conducting Final Loss of Day (FLoD) checking of IM Ops processes. The Payments team handles all IM-related payments, ad hoc/trade-related, and standing orders. Oversight of the Gilliat structured product backbook and appointed Third Party Administrator.
