Finance - Financial Analyst

Job Purpose

The FP&A team is responsible for delivering Financial Management Information (MI) to a wide variety of stakeholders across the business. This includes managing budgeting, delivering monthly results, and providing ad-hoc analysis to support business needs.

The primary responsibilities of this role involve providing MI and analytical support using Excel and SQL to the finance department and the wider business. This includes product/team profitability analysis, new product/business support, portfolio modeling, and helping to maintain the integrity of financial data within core systems.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

• Serve as the point of contact for key business stakeholders, assisting them with the provision of key performance indicators for the bank’s loan and deposit books.
• Produce monthly Income and Balance forecasts for the current financial year for key products.
• Develop the Bank’s capital and liquidity planning models, optimizing return on capital for stakeholders within agreed limits.
• Act as a key performer for New Business launches, including developing business case models on a cohort/vintage basis and discounted cash flow valuations.
• Enhance existing models to automate the annual budget process within Oracle PBCS.
• Act as the Finance lead for systems and product testing.

MI & Analysis

• Provide monthly Management data to multiple business stakeholders, including analysis of business performance by team, banker, and product, including segmentation of the loan and deposit book.
• Perform variance analysis for key Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) lines.
• Reconcile Balance sheet ledgers.
• Provide in-depth analysis on key projects.

Systems Management

• Administer Oracle PBCS and SUN.
• Be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data in the business MI system.
• Ensure consistent use of "golden data" to maintain a "single version of the truth."
• Maintain the integrity of the trial balance from the Flexcube banking platform to the General Ledger (GL).
