Overview

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Production Associates to join our corrugated sheet feeder facility in Batavia, NY. Our plant manufactures and supplies high-quality corrugated sheets used to produce packaging and shipping containers for a wide range of industries.

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting pay: $22.50 per hour
• 2nd shift differential: +$1.00 per hour = $23.50
• 3rd shift differential: +$1.50 per hour = $24.00
• Potential to increase compensation based on skills and contributions
• Shifts currently hiring: 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Orientation will begin on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) for the first 1–4 weeks, then assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Shift hours:
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

What You Will Do

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks requiring lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours per day in a loud, industrial environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, farming, or military environments

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry
