Technology and Operations (T&O) Overview

Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. Within T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and strive to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

This role involves completing the day-to-day activities of the section in an efficient manner while maintaining high quality and sound controls according to established procedures, bank policies, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle the processing of inward/outward CHATS & TT (Telegraphic Transfers), fund transfers, and related activities (including MIS and regulatory reporting) in accordance with established procedures, risk control, bank policies, and guidelines, and service standards.
• Handle the receipt of customer instructions and confirmation with customers in accordance with established procedures, risk control, bank policies, and guidelines, and service standards.
• Handle and respond to inquiries/requests from internal/external partners and customers regarding transaction processing and related matters.
• Handle general clerical tasks, such as reconciling work and filing.
• Propose suggestions for streamlining operational procedures, increasing productivity, enhancing operational control, and achieving resource utilization (especially during volume surges) using the DBS Management System continuously.
• Support initiatives and new services, and perform coordinator roles as designated (e.g., BCP coordinator, PC coordinator).
• Provide coordination and work collaboratively with section members to complete the section’s responsibilities.
• Promote and encourage open and good communication amongst all levels of members.
• Comply with UDMA Policy requirements, as well as UDMA governance processes, control, and support tasks if required.
• Adhere to and comply with the rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the Bank, HKMA, MAS, etc., pertaining to operations.
• Escalate exceptional, outstanding, or suspicious transactions to the section manager and other relevant parties for necessary action per the Incident Management Policy.
• Public holiday duty may be required.

Additional Objectives

• Accomplish the job objective and perform the principal responsibilities.
• Achieve the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) annually.
• Ensure all work performed by the Team is in accordance with established procedures, bank policies, and code of conduct.
