Summer College Internship Program

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship opportunity designed for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns participate in development workshops, networking events, and meaningful projects while receiving mentorship from their respective managers. This program allows interns to develop skills through workshops focused on key business concepts across various tracks.

Intern tracks include Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non-technical or technical degree programs.

Program Details

• This is a paid, 10-week summer internship, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).
• Interns may be placed in either a technical or non-technical division.
• Development workshops are provided to assist with the transition from academia to the corporate environment.
• Housing is not provided as part of this program.

Essential Accountabilities

Specific duties will vary based on assignment, with particular focus areas listed below:

• Administering LTHC's Salesforce environments, which includes learning and managing various Salesforce solutions, managing user access and permissions, and creating administrative reports.
• Supporting key strategic projects alongside a dedicated mentor.
• Completing work assignments aligned with business needs, departmental priorities, and the intern's qualifications.
• Performing a mix of technical and non-technical tasks across a broad range of business projects.
• Creating and delivering final presentations at the conclusion of the internship.
• Consistently demonstrating high standards of integrity by upholding Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission, values, adherence to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and the Lifetime Way principles.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality and protecting member privacy according to company policies.
• Maintaining regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Performing other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Desired Majors/Degree Programs Include:

• Computing Sciences & Information Technology (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, etc.)
• Management Information Systems, or similar programs.

Preferred (but not required) experience includes:

• IT systems knowledge.
• Cloud skills.
• Exposure to sales processes.

General Requirements

• Must possess a High School diploma along with proof of continuous full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Must maintain good academic standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all company levels.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and establish strong working relationships with peers.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility when completing assigned tasks.
• Commitment to the continuous improvement of personal skills and team functioning.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as on intra- and inter-departmental teams as needed.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using a desktop computer in a professional setting.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation, viewing a computer, and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.

Compensation and Employment Information

Compensation Range:

Level I - Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00

The indicated salary range represents the minimum and maximum for this position. Actual salary will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, budget availability, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education related to the minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted range is one component of our total rewards package, which may also include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
