KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern, Strategy Technology for our Advisory practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess and quantify Information Technology (IT) related opportunities and risks, developing an action plan to address and communicate due diligence results in a non-technical manner during deal advisory integration and separation processes.
• Evaluate the IT performance of companies and develop plans for improvement and expense reduction.
• Help facilitate the integration of IT operations and organizations resulting from roll-up and/or complete separation from a parent organization.
• Complete wide-ranging offshoring of high labor activities, provide renegotiation support for key IT vendor contracts as directed by management, and help identify improvement opportunities for IT governance and project selection.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Participate in the development and presentation of final project deliverables.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Technical Skills

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Must maintain a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Demonstrated understanding or experience with technical disciplines such as enterprise software systems, IT architecture and infrastructure, or IT operations, or a similar nature.
• Ability to prioritize and organize diverse materials.
• Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly master KPMG tools and applications used by clients.

Logistical Requirements

• Must reside within a commutable distance of the office location and be responsible for personal transportation to and from office/client locations.
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business needs. If working remotely, the applicant must be located within the U.S. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stays.
