Deloitte is significantly investing in developing its Commercial Due Diligence capability as part of a wider investment in Private Equity across the global Firm. We are looking to grow our team by hiring Consultants and Senior Consultants to join our CDD team. In this role, you will deliver complex workstreams on commercial due diligence projects, coach teams, and develop into the next generation of Engagement Managers.

Your role will be to support the delivery of commercial due diligence projects and ancillary consulting services to private equity houses, private equity portfolio companies, corporates, and financial institutions across all sectors. Services will range across quantitative and qualitative commercial due diligence, corporate strategy, value creation, and M&A strategy.

Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, you will have responsibility to:

• Conduct commercial due diligence and strategy projects for private equity and corporate clients across a range of sectors.
• Perform market sizing, growth forecasting, and industry structure analysis.
• Analyze company performance, revenue drivers, customer trends, and competitive positioning.
• Assess business plans, growth strategies, and investment theses.
• Build financial and operational analyses to evaluate market attractiveness and company performance.
• Review customer, product, geography, and channel-level data to identify growth opportunities and risks.
• Analyze customer retention, churn, pricing, cross-sell, and sales effectiveness metrics.
• Benchmark target companies against competitors on offering, pricing, capabilities, and go-to-market approach.
• Conduct primary research through expert, customer, competitor, and industry stakeholder interviews.
• Perform secondary research using industry reports, databases, and public sources.
• Prepare client-ready reports and presentations.
• Participate in client meetings and present analytical findings.
• Support business development activities.
• Contribute to building a distinctive CDD practice and community.

Required Skills and Experience

• Comfortable working in fast-paced deal environments.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.

Desirable Skills:

• Top-tier academic background or equivalent.
• Proven relevant experience in consulting, transaction services, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, or a similarly analytical environment.
• Commercial awareness and interest in business strategy, M&A, and private equity.
• Experience or interest in working within the TMT, Life Sciences, or Business Services sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience conducting market assessments, expert interviews, customer research, and survey-based analysis.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Flexibility for international travel.
