Job Description

The Global Equities Trading Operations team is a dynamic, high-performing middle office trade support group. This team provides critical operational client service to our institutional clients in partnership with the Global Equities front office. The unit comprises a diverse group of trade support personnel with extensive backgrounds in operations across U.S. and International Equities. We have an opportunity within this team for an energetic individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to help our team support our clients and front office business partners in pursuit of their goals.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the first line of contact for client operational staff regarding all types of middle and back office issues and inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with client operations teams and RBC front office sales and trading teams.
  • Allocate institutional client orders utilizing CTM and FIX allocation processing.
  • Process post-trade date corrections and handle cancel/re-bills.
  • Work through daily fail reports and unmatched trades reports, collaborating with client operations personnel to resolve failing and unmatched trades.
  • Work with the back office to actively monitor settlement exceptions, ensuring timely settlement.
  • Act as a liaison between P&S and trading for street-side clearing.
  • Reconcile and balance average price and trading inventory accounts.
  • Coordinate the Reg. SHO buy-in process, communicating with the RBC buy-in department and clients.
  • Coordinate with the new accounts group to open and maintain Institutional client sub-accounts.
  • Monitor and action Corporate Buyback business.
  • Allocate, instruct, and actively monitor all Latin America executions.
  • Perform special project-based work as needed.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of equities middle office and back office processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Middle Office allocation and confirmation systems.
  • Knowledge of the Broadridge back office platform is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DTCC ITP product line (CTM, ALERT, TradeSuite) is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with others in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A high level of organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to act in a time-sensitive manner with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to liaise with other areas of the Bank and develop strong inter-departmental relationships.

The good-faith expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000, depending on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, such as a discretionary bonus or benefits like a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and paid time-off plan.
