Intern - UK Corporate Coverage

Job Description

Support two senior bankers in Corporate Coverage in London by assisting with business development and client activity to establish and grow Natixis’ relationship with our UK Corporate clients.

The intern will play a vital role in supporting business development, deal origination and execution, and coverage of corporate clients in London. You will collaborate closely with the two senior bankers based in London. The role requires working closely with various Business Lines, including Acquisition and Structured Finance, Structured Equity Capital Markets, Real Assets, Global Markets, Industry Groups, and M&A boutiques.

This position offers the opportunity to gain a 360-degree view of investment banking activities within our largest global client group, while participating in live transactions and engaging directly with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the team with business development efforts to deepen knowledge of clients, their investments, and their needs, such as conducting research and filtering client portfolios and activities, and creating tracking databases.
• Assist with marketing pitch preparation and research.
• Assist with financial modelling and credit analysis for financing transactions.
• Gather and analyze financial data, report on variances, and initiate corrective actions.
• Prepare client coverage memos and client action plans.

You must comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal Compliance requirements, including those outlined in the London Compliance manual, Compliance policies and procedures, and Security policies & procedures. This includes adhering to Financial Security requirements, particularly the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud, including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
