Network Security Administrator I

Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is seeking a Network Security Administrator I to work at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. This role requires leveraging data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and security skills to ensure continuous improvement in operational security across multiple internal and external systems.

Salary: Commensurate with experience, ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure, certifications, and location.

Responsibilities

• Execute cybersecurity and operational resilience projects and initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Maximize network security by monitoring performance, tracking emerging threats and vulnerabilities, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
• Continuously monitor metrics generated by existing AI and ML technologies to identify irregularities and mitigate potential threats.
• Evaluate the security of network devices, operating systems, servers, and cloud environments (Azure & AWS), including systems such as Windows Server 12-22, Active Directory, and Office365.
• Actively monitor all critical applications, including related memory resident services, hardware, and storage.
• Actively monitor the transport layer to optimize network performance throughput.
• Adhere to tight deadlines and drive results while maintaining extreme attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using cybersecurity and network management tools, including SDWAN.
• Proficiency with Network Security, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, Private VLANs, Port security, and Access Lists within an enterprise-class infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN Tunneling, OSPF, QoS, BGP, MPLS, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
• Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact confidently with management.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data to support assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
• Proven ability to investigate and analyze technical and security issues.
• Ability to routinely extend skills and expertise to partner teams across the organization to focus on continuous improvement.
