Part-Time Customer Service Associate (CSA)

Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is hiring a Part-Time Customer Service Associate (CSA) for its Southampton Branch in Long Island. The CSA will be responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of customer requests and services, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, and processing routine bank transactions.

Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from a minimum of $22 to a maximum of $29. Final pay is based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cash advances, cashier's checks, and night drop bags.
• Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coins.
• Perform comprehensive account services for all Dime customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide in-depth knowledge of Dime products and services to offer appropriate solutions.
• Support the Branch Manager's business development efforts through in-branch sales, phone, and direct mailing campaigns.
• Report under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including requirements related to Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), and Dime internal Suspicious Activity Tracking Reports.
• Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews to ensure data accuracy and integrity for SOX 404 purposes.
• Maintain current knowledge of bank regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to service clients with consumer and commercial lending needs and refer them to the appropriate department.
• Make authorized decisions regarding transactions such as overdrafts, overrides, and signature guarantees when managers are absent.
• Cross-train on both the teller window and the banking platform as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail banking experience required. Prior experience as a Universal Banker, Relationship Banker, Customer Service Associate/Representative, or Financial Service Associate is a plus.
• Cash-handling experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving skills to effectively uncover and resolve customer issues.
• Thorough understanding of compliance and record-keeping requirements.
• Advanced experience with PC, Network, E-Mail, Director, Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Transaction Research is preferred.
