Network Technician
We are looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Network Technician to join our growing team within networking scaling. This role involves delivering the hardware, configuration, and fiber connectivity for interdependent scaling projects across several data center locations. The Network Technician will collaborate closely with internal customers and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution, working in partnership with Technical Program Managers.
Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, exceptionally detail-oriented, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with significant experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks. You will be highly competent in all aspects of networking hardware, software, and fiber connectivity installation and troubleshooting, backed by a proven project delivery methodology. This position will work with minimal supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in developing innovative methods to automate and scale our network as we expand.
Network Technicians are expected to adhere to established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling, and maintain a proactive and innovative mindset. The ability and desire to thrive in an ambiguous, collaborative environment is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
Key job responsibilities include:
- Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment.
- Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cables between equipment.
- Ensuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
- Following well-established hardware installation procedures and executing break-fix activities.
- Safely using material handling tools and equipment.
Travel Requirement: Traveling within and outside the regional work area is required. Candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license, as company transportation will not be provided.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience in networking.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Ability to specify power and cooling requirements, participate in hardware racking/stacking, and actively contribute to the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Must be able to move and lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, including VFL, power meter, and OTDR. Familiarity with cabling best practices and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS.
- Proficiency in IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE) and operational excellence concepts or methodologies (a plus).
