Summary: Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is hiring a Customer Service Associate (CSA) for its Southampton Branch in Long Island. The CSA will ensure the accurate completion of customer requests and services, respond to inquiries in a timely manner, and process routine bank transactions. Prior experience as a Universal Banker, Relationship Banker, Customer Service Associate/Representative, or Financial Service Associate is a plus.

Compensation: The hourly wage minimum is $22 and the maximum is $29. Exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language requirements, and location.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cash advances, cashier’s checks, and night drop bags.
• Reconcile the cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coins.
• Perform account services for all Dime customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide in-depth knowledge of Dime products and services to deliver appropriate solutions.
• Support business development efforts of the Branch Manager through in-branch sales, phone, and direct mailing campaigns.
• Report under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including Currency Transaction Report (CTR), Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), and Dime internal Suspicious Activity Tracking reports.
• Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity of data for SOX 404 purposes.
• Maintain current knowledge of bank regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to service clients with consumer and commercial lending needs and refer them to the appropriate department.
• Make decisions within the role’s authority (e.g., overdrafts, overrides, signature guarantees) when managers are absent.
• Cross-train on both the teller window and banking platform as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of retail banking experience required. Prior experience as a Universal Banker, Relationship Banker, Customer Service Associate/Representative, or Financial Service Associate is a plus.
• Cash-handling experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Advanced PC, network, email, Director, internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and transaction research experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve customer issues.
• Thorough understanding of compliance and record-keeping requirements.
