Join Barclays as an Analyst on the BARX Client Services global team and act as the primary point of contact for external clients and internal users of the BARX Macro eCommerce applications. Your principal responsibility is the provision of electronic trading support for Macro, encompassing client onboarding and setup, pricing support, trade-related queries, and the resolution of platform functionality issues.

You will deliver comprehensive 24/5 support to clients using the BARX platforms, including external clients accessing BARX directly or indirectly. You will closely collaborate with eSales, Voice Sales, Trading, and a wide range of operational, regulatory, and technical teams.

Purpose of the Role

To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions, while handling administrative tasks and providing market information and research.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
  • Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
  • Preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation to support sales and trading activities.
  • Monitoring of market data and assisting in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
  • Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.

Required Qualifications

To be successful as a BARX Client Services: Macro- FX and Fixed Income Analyst, you should have:

  • Some knowledge of Macro, specifically FX and/or FX Options product types.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with confidence using Excel and excellent troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts, including Bank Holidays.
  • A proactive, team-oriented, and goal-driven mindset.
  • Detail-orientation with strong attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to design and implement new processes to improve organizational efficiency.

Valued Skills

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Solid knowledge of financial markets.
  • Experience with single-dealer platforms and multi-bank trading platforms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of FIX protocols.
  • Basic understanding of desktop PC and end-user technology.
  • Relevant educational background.

Location and Compensation

This role is located in New York, NY.

Minimum Salary: $70,000

Maximum Salary: $100,000
