Global Markets Summer Analyst Programme

Through our Capital Markets Summer Analyst program, you will get direct work experience and exposure to the Global Markets business at CIBC. CIBC offers a broad suite of capital markets trading products and services to corporate, government and institutional clients around the world.

As a Global Markets Summer Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

• Gain exposure to different asset classes by working alongside experienced sales and trading professionals.
• Assist in idea generation, financial markets analysis, and risk monitoring.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Participate in the Buddy programme.

Key Requirements:

• Student in a finance/quantitative discipline.
• Must be in penultimate or final year of degree.
• Strong academic skills, a minimum of A-Level grades A*AA (or equivalent) and should be averaging at least a 2:1 through your university course.
• Proficient in at least one programming language: Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• A team player who can communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
• Must be available between June 2027 - September 2027 when the programme is running.
• Fluent in English.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
