Capgemini Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) UK leads the global Projects & Consulting (P&C) practice within CIS, covering the entire CIS portfolio. The Workplace Engineer role operates within the User Experience capability, focusing on consulting, architecture design, building, migrating, and testing cutting-edge workplace services and solutions.

Your Role
As a Workplace Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, planning, and delivery of modern workplace solutions for our enterprise customers. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and technical teams to understand customer vision, challenges, and requirements, proposing innovative and scalable solutions leveraging Microsoft 365, Azure, and AI capabilities. You will also oversee the implementation and adoption of these solutions, ensuring alignment with customer business objectives, security policies, and compliance standards.
This role requires you to:
- Engage with enterprise customers to assess their current and desired state of modern workplace maturity, identifying improvement opportunities and gaps. Define and document the modern workplace strategy, roadmap, and architecture based on industry best practices.
- Design and architect modern workplace solutions utilizing Microsoft 365, W365, and Azure features and services, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Intune, Entra ID, Azure Sentinel, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team and the customer throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from pre-sales through deployment and adoption.
- Manage and mitigate technical risks and issues, ensuring solutions meet customer expectations, requirements, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Collaborate with Microsoft and partner resources to guarantee solution quality and success, and conduct workshops, training, and presentations to empower customers and end users regarding modern workplace solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the modern workplace domain, sharing valuable insights and feedback with Microsoft and partner communities.

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in IT consulting, solution architecture, and project management, with a specialized focus on modern workplace and cloud solutions. Must possess knowledge and experience in designing and implementing Microsoft 365, Azure, and AVD solutions for enterprise customers.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure features, services, and architectures, along with the ability to integrate and customize them to meet specific customer needs and goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, ranging from executives to end users. Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, capable of managing multiple competing priorities and delivering results under pressure.
- Demonstrated strong customer focus and relationship management skills, enabling you to effectively understand a customer's business context, challenges, and expectations, thereby building trust and rapport.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional work experience (desirable). Microsoft 365 and Azure certifications are highly desirable.
