About Fuse

Fuse is an AI-first energy company on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

We have raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird, and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify, and Uber.

We are building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries, and other generation projects; building our own hardware; improving and developing grid infrastructure; trading power in real time; and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs, and pass the savings on to our customers.

Regulatory & Compliance Analyst

We’re hiring a Regulatory & Compliance Analyst to help us navigate the regulatory landscape as we scale. The role sits in our Regulatory & External Affairs team and works directly with our Head of Regulatory & External Affairs on everything from Ofgem submissions to government engagement. You’ll have real ownership from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Take genuine ownership of regulatory workstreams end-to-end in a fast-paced environment; this is not a role where work is fully scoped for you.
  • Support compliance workstreams with supply licence obligations and industry codes, including tracking obligations and preparing submissions.
  • Draft responses to regulatory consultations, RFIs, and stakeholder queries; support engagement with Ofgem, DESNZ, code bodies, and other industry parties.
  • Monitor regulatory and policy developments across the energy sector, assess their impact on Fuse, and brief internal teams on what matters and why.
  • Build and maintain compliance trackers, checklists, and internal processes that keep the business ahead of its obligations as we grow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top university in policy, international relations, politics, economics, law, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, the UK energy industry and its regulatory framework.
  • Comfortable with data analytics—able to work confidently in spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written communication—able to draft precise, well-structured submissions and correspondence for regulators and government.
  • Thrives with high ownership.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and workstreams without dropping anything.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and eligibility for equity.
  • Biannual bonus scheme.
  • Fully expensed tech to match your needs.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees.

As we hire globally, benefits vary by location.
