About Bank of America

At Bank of America, we are guided by a common purpose to help make financial lives better through the power of every connection. We do this by driving Responsible Growth and delivering for our clients, teammates, communities and shareholders every day.

Being a Great Place to Work and providing a culture of caring is core to how we drive Responsible Growth. We foster an inclusive workplace where every teammate has the opportunity to succeed, build a career and contribute to our shared success—attracting and developing exceptional talent, recognizing and rewarding performance, and supporting teammates’ physical, emotional, and financial wellness through affordable, competitive and flexible benefits.

We value the unique perspectives individuals bring from all backgrounds and career paths, including those shaped by military service, community college education, and a wide range of work and life experiences. These journeys foster resilience, leadership and innovation, strengthening our workforce and positively impacting the communities we serve.

Bank of America is committed to an in-office culture that supports collaboration, engagement, and career development, with clear in-office expectations and an appropriate level of flexibility based on role-specific responsibilities and business needs.

Role Overview

As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), your journey begins by obtaining your Securities Industry licenses, supported by dedicated and personalized classes for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 Exams. After you obtain your licenses, you will be taught the foundational skills needed to be an advisor—from acquiring, building and managing client relationships to considering a client’s complex financial picture and guiding them with advice and solutions that help them live their best financial lives, all while humanizing financial interactions.

As you reach key milestones, you will work in a financial center to help deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions and approach to client care. You will be equipped with what you need throughout the stages of development.

After demonstrating success as a licensed Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I, you will typically progress into Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where you will deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients. As a successful Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, you will have the opportunity to advance in many roles within Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy will support you with dedicated programs, tools, and resources throughout your career journey.
