The Deutsche Bank 9-week Summer Internship Programme is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. You’ll quickly gain the confidence to take on real projects by learning first-hand how and what we deliver for clients worldwide. About the Division

Our Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) business provides advisory and financing products and services of a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies, and financial sponsors.

We offer both buy-side and sell-side advisory services for mergers and acquisitions and restructuring advisory, debt and equity capital raising services (including dedicated Environmental Social Governance (ESG) solutions), and structured equity transactions. We advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

About the Role

Interns are given the opportunity to learn about the business from different viewpoints, providing a career advantage. Working on day-to-day business and special projects, you will contribute to the generation of new ideas to help clients achieve their financial goals.

You will gain experience across different areas of the business and discover market-leading solutions firsthand.

Your day-to-day tasks may vary depending on your business area. Intern responsibilities may include:

• Monitoring capital market activity, trends, and investor sentiment, and performing in-depth company analysis on specific situations
• Supporting the execution of client advisory and financial transactions while managing multiple projects with rigid and, at times, global timelines
• Preparing marketing materials and transaction documentation, including pitch books, corporate and investor profiles, and analysis
• Conducting detailed financial analysis and reviewing market data and transaction details to identify appropriate comparables and contribute to pricing recommendations for new issuances
• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders (including sales, research, and legal) as well as external parties (including investors and legal counsel)
• Building an in-depth understanding of products and services and how they apply to client needs

What We Look For

• Strong foundational knowledge and interest in global capital markets, corporate finance, macroeconomics, and accounting
• Confident, constructive, and effective communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and contribute to day-to-day client relationships
• Ability to solve problems, organize tasks, and manage multiple projects with demanding timelines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Interest and ability to work collaboratively across the Deutsche Bank platform and global teams in support of clients

A financial background isn’t required. Comprehensive training programmes will provide the technical skills you need to build a career with Deutsche Bank.

Eligibility – 2027 Internship Programme

• Complete your studies (all final exams and coursework, with no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1 August 2027 and 31 July 2028
• Be able to start full-time work in July 2028, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements
• Return to full-time study after the 2027 internship. If you do not return to full-time study, you will not be eligible for the 2028 Graduate Programme
• Achieve at least 3 A-Levels at grade AAA, with a minimum grade A in A Level Maths (or the UCAS points equivalent if you studied outside the UK)
• Be on track for a 2:1 or First (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree
• Have no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience
• For some IBCM placements, in addition to English, fluency in a European language is desirable
