Summer Associate Program
Jefferies’ lean deal team structure gives Summer Associates the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals while overseeing Summer Analysts’ work product. Summer Associates add value from day one—building client deliverables and contributing to pitch and deal materials by understanding market implications, identifying key industry and product trends, and thinking creatively with integrity and a collaborative spirit.
Following an enriching orientation and training program, Summer Associates begin their day-to-day responsibilities with support from colleagues who serve as instructors and mentors throughout the 10-week engagement. The collegial program also includes social and educational events to enhance professional development and grow your network. Summer Associates receive formal performance reviews.
Responsibilities
Summer Associate responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Performing and reviewing financial valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow and comparable companies multiples-based analyses
- Building and using financial models
- Preparing pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memorandums and prospectuses
- Conducting industry and product research
- Analyzing detailed corporate and financial information
- Participating in the execution of financings, M&A, and restructuring and recapitalization transactions
What We Look For
Jefferies seeks candidates eager to make an impact through real, hands-on work on active deal teams. Successful Summer Associates are able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and client management skills, along with strong technical skills and written and verbal communication abilities.
The work is fast-paced, intense, and intellectually stimulating. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, remain adaptable, and work independently and as part of a team are essential traits. You should have a strong academic background and be in the process of completing the first year of a two-year MBA degree (or equivalent). While a background in accounting or finance is helpful, Summer Associates may come from a variety of academic disciplines.
Eligibility
- Eligible candidates must be graduating with an MBA between December 2027 and June 2028.
New York: Real Estate Program
Jefferies’ Real Estate Gaming & Lodging (REGAL) Group provides investment banking services to the Real Estate industry. The group supports a diverse client base across sectors including Residential, Office, Industrial, Retail, Storage, Casino Operators, Leisure, and Lodging. The REGAL Group consists of a team of approximately 24 bankers focused on serving clients in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

Compensation
The salary for this role is $175,000, pro-rated.
