Amazon Operations Intern (UK)

Amazon Operations is the backbone of the Amazon customer experience. With fulfilment centres, delivery stations, and tens of thousands of employees, the team works together to efficiently deliver items to customers. In the fulfilment centres, millions of items are picked and packed annually, while delivery teams work to get orders to customers on time. Internship location: This role is available across multiple field-based UK locations (London area). Your final placement will be determined based on your preferred option plus role availability.

Note: You must have the right to work in the country of employment by the start date. Potential relocation to the designated work location may be required.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Complete high-priority projects to the highest standard, demonstrating your ability to deliver results.
• Analyze data to identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Propose and test solutions, collaborating with the team to implement the most effective options.
• Develop communication and teamwork skills by working with managers, stakeholders, and frontline associates.
• Be on the move within the building to engage with various teams, actively gathering knowledge through pre-briefs, flow meetings, and discussions with leadership and associates.
• Navigate the workspace and move between different areas as needed for the role.
• Display flexibility to work various schedules and shift patterns as required.

A Day in the Life

Our internships are educational opportunities that help you (and future managers) understand how we lead and develop teams of associates. You will immerse yourself in the fast-paced, complex world of Fulfilment Centers, Sortation Hubs, and Delivery Stations, and see how managers engage their teams to meet customer expectations.

This internship places you at the heart of operations, enabling you to trace the journey of a customer order and gain a realistic job preview of full-time opportunities within the organization.

You will learn how managers cultivate a safe, productive environment and harness the full potential of their teams through effective engagement and performance management strategies—building skills to support a rewarding career with Amazon.

Internship Start Dates

• Hiring interns to start anytime from January through July 2027.
• Each month, 1–2 onboarding days will be held for new hires.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently in your penultimate or final year and working towards a university degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or another related field.
• Eligible to complete a full-time internship of 3–6 months.
• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with others.
• Demonstrated curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
