IT Intern

As an IT Intern, you will work closely with our technology teams and external parties to provide world-class support while investigating and resolving a variety of technical and business issues every day. Your success will depend on your ability to rapidly identify and resolve business-impacting issues. You will help address time-sensitive, critical problems as well as participate in long-term projects. You will also provide daily, hands-on support to trading desks and help define their technology requirements for other teams across the firm.

What We Are Looking For

• Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of the company’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Support the implementation and configuration of hardware and software components, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of infrastructure projects, such as system upgrades and migrations.
• Participate in the documentation of infrastructure processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions for infrastructure improvements.

To Succeed in This Role, You Should Be

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a target graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN technologies.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) and virtualization technologies.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Collaborative with global teams.
• Self-motivated and intellectually curious.
• Accountable with a high level of ownership.
• Able to handle pressure and time constraints with composure.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Exposure to cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Previous internship or relevant hands-on experience in infrastructure-related roles.
