Corporate Banking Intern

Division/Department: Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia, Global Corporate Banking Department for Singapore

Location: Singapore

Internship Period: 11 January 2027 – 30 June 2027

Role Overview

This position sits within the Corporate Banking of Singapore team in the Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia. We are looking for a high-motivated team player to join our team and work with relationship managers to provide an integrated client experience across clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the relationship management and coverage of Singapore direct coverage clients, with the respective local corporates, global subsidiary banking, and financial institutions teams.
  • Support team activities on the deal life cycle, including origination, business proposals, deal execution, and post-deal monitoring.
  • Support execution of corporate financing transactions for clients.
  • Prepare client presentations and help develop client relationships through deal execution and pitching.
  • Prepare internal materials and assist with managing internal approval processes.
  • Gain professional growth by working with various experienced stakeholders within the team and co-working with different banking products (Global Markets, Debt Capital Markets – Loans and Bonds, Transaction Banking, etc.).
  • Develop presentation and communication skills, with the opportunity to present projects and/or case studies to business partners and management.

Job Requirements

  • Keen interest in working in the finance industry, with relevant prior internship experience.
  • Strong skills in pitch book creation, credit, and financial statement analysis.
  • Action-oriented, energetic, and entrepreneurial.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Collaborative approach with eagerness to learn.
  • Strong ethical behaviour and alignment with MUFG’s core values.
