The Deutsche Bank Internship Programme is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. Group Audit has over 700 staff across four hub locations—New York, London, Frankfurt, and Singapore—plus 26 other countries. Our professional, business-focused, proactive, risk-based work is characterized by independence, transparency, and integrity. We assist the bank’s divisions to identify control weaknesses.
As Deutsche Bank’s “third line of defense,” Group Audit has a high profile within the bank, acting as an independent and forward-looking adviser to Senior Management on issues. We are increasingly consulted for advice by regulators.

About the Role
Interns are given the opportunity to learn about the business from different viewpoints, providing a career advantage. You will work on day-to-day activities and special projects, and learn how Group Audit contributes to the achievement of the Group’s strategic goals, objectives, and ethical standards as set by the Management Board. You will gain experience across different areas of the business and discover market-leading solutions firsthand. The internship is also a way to determine whether a career in Group Audit fits your needs and aspirations.
Areas Where You Could Work
- Providing support in preparing audits
- Reviewing the effectiveness of internal controls in a particular division
- Providing support in identifying and analyzing existing controls
What We Look For
We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable, with excellent communication skills. Degrees may be in many different disciplines. You should have proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs. While good numeracy is important for some roles, you won’t necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial background. Our comprehensive training programmes provide the technical knowledge needed to build a career with us.
Eligibility Requirements for the 2027 Internship Program
To be eligible for the 2027 Internship Program, you must:
- Complete your studies (all final exams and coursework, with no outstanding requirements for graduation) between December 1, 2027, and July 31, 2028.
At this time, Deutsche Bank will only consider applicants who are currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Deutsche Bank, now or in the future, to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation
The annualized salary for this position is $75,000. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
