About the Program

The Deutsche Bank Internship Program is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. About the Division

The Fixed Income & Currencies Quantitative Trading team is responsible for the bank’s electronic liquidity provision of flow products to our global customer base. Products traded include FX spot and forwards; interest rate swaps; and government, corporate, and municipal bonds. The team designs proprietary quantitative models that drive trading systems, oversees day-to-day risk and operations, and optimizes client liquidity relationships in a data-driven manner.

About the Role

As an intern, you’ll learn about the business through hands-on, on-the-job experience. You’ll gain a strong understanding of the work we do and our team culture, and you’ll develop your quantitative skills through real-world application.

You may work on one large project for the duration of the internship or on a series of smaller projects, similar to the experience of a full-time team member. You’ll use your quantitative and programming skills to deliver impactful research and implement solutions.

You’ll also be exposed to a fast-paced, agile culture with opportunities to meet and engage with leaders across the organization.

What We Look For

  • Intelligent and adaptable students and graduates with excellent communication skills.
  • Enrollment in a post-graduate specialist degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, economics, or finance.
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to express ideas verbally, mathematically, and through code.
  • Outstanding academic achievement and a strong desire to continue learning at an intensive pace.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Eligibility Requirements for the 2027 Quant Internship Program

  • Complete your studies (all final exams and coursework) and have no outstanding requirements for graduation between 1 December 2027 and 31 July 2028.

Internship start: June 2027
Duration: 10 weeks

Compensation

The annualized salary for this position is $110,000. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
