Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM)

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) supports the Relationship Manager (RM) in daily operations, administration, client care, and relationship management. The ARM interacts regularly with internal and external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information, and supports the RM in delivering excellent client service. The ARM may be the first point of contact for clients, helping to build confidence and deliver a positive, professional impression. Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset are essential.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Handle enquiries by phone or email relating to account opening procedures, product/service launches, stock trading, and other client service requests.
• Handle enquiries related to trading and corporate action activities.
• Perform Know Your Client (KYC) and risk disclosure; act as a gatekeeper for the company’s policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform business support administrative duties, including daily report generation, start/end-of-day activities, system checks, and related tasks.
• Involve and participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of client instructions, handle client enquiries efficiently, and escalate to senior colleagues when necessary.
• Assist the RM with administrative tasks such as preparing presentations, supporting meetings, events, and business trips, and conducting ad-hoc analysis and research.
• Maintain an efficient and compliant approach to work and ensure timely and appropriate information is provided to the superior.
• Conduct reviews, plan ahead, and document work at all times.
• Provide professional improvement proposals based on experience, incident occurrence, or observations.
• Assist the RM in managing business expense claims.
• Process client payment orders and execute trades, including securities, funds, bonds, MM/FX trades, structured notes, and related activities.
• Respond to client enquiries and provide solutions where possible.
• Maintain client contact frequency and update records.
• Ensure compliance with local and internal regulations relating to client documentation, client instructions, account opening, and related matters.
• Ensure timely clearance of pending items and escalated deficiencies.
• Demonstrate ethical and compliant behavior in the area of responsibility, with a customer-focused approach and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business/Finance.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Result-oriented with strong initiative and drive to succeed.
• Customer-focused and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with sales representatives.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin, particularly in product offering concepts and explanation to Greater China clients.
• Possess CACS 1 & 2 certifications and the relevant CMFAS licensing.
