Role Summary
The APAC Asset Services department is responsible for Corporate Actions events relating to Equity and Fixed Income products. The Asset Services Associate will work day-to-day with Traders, stock loan counterparties, and clients to manage tasks such as Corporate Actions notification, payment, and election management, as well as handling client queries and breaks resolution. The Associate will also support day-to-day control tasks within the team and represent the department in projects, initiatives, and control work within the Corporate Actions function.
This role requires aptitude for problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. It is a strong opportunity for anyone seeking exposure to a team that delivers real value to the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of Corporate Actions events, including event capture, notification, reconciliation, payment, and election management.
- Handle client and stakeholder queries, and support breaks investigation and resolution.
- Support day-to-day control tasks within the team.
- Participate in projects, initiatives, and control work within the Corporate Actions department.
Requirements
- Tertiary education with a strong academic track record.
- 1–2 years or more of experience in Corporate Actions or a similar scope.
- Strong knowledge of Corporate/Investment Banking within the Prime Brokerage/Custody space is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize heavy workloads and work efficiently in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines.
- Independent, proactive approach with strong communication skills.
- Driven and self-motivated.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adjust to changing priorities.
- Exposure to data analysis, audit, risk, and control functions.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Good organizational skills.
