The internship programme offers an immersive experience in specialist functions, with interns involved in real-time work from Day 1.

This internship programme is on a full-time basis. Note: Leave of Absence (LOA) may be required to take on the internship.

Brief Overview

The Product Listing team is responsible for managing regulatory projects related to product initiatives, including securities product listing applications and product listings in the derivatives market. Products under the team’s charge include bonds, ETFs, structured products, futures and options.

The team works with business and regulatory units on regulatory assessments, including the effectiveness of existing rules and solutions for new product initiatives.

Learning Objectives

• Monitor global regulatory developments relating to products and asset classes and consider their relevance and application to SGX.
• Be exposed to the regulatory assessment process for new product initiatives, including analysing different product structures, identifying the problem, researching precedents, conducting jurisdictional comparisons, engaging with stakeholders, and more.

Job Description

• Assist in research on practices in other jurisdictions.
• Monitor regulatory developments.
• Monitor product issuers’ ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Ability to distil key points for voluminous information.
• Understanding of stock markets, securities products, or derivatives.
• Attention to detail.
• Resourceful and able to work independently as required.
