The FORM (Front Office Risk Management) team is the first line of defence within the Global Markets Division. It supports the trading and sales teams in managing financial risk, including market and credit risk. Coverage spans businesses in different international locations and across financial asset classes.

This is a permanent role where you will collaborate closely with the business and key business partners to drive the next stage of business growth. You will play a key role in ensuring risk is kept within the agreed appetite and that controls are in place to mitigate key risk events. The role also requires adapting to changes in the macroeconomic and regulatory environments, advising business lines accordingly, and developing new solutions for them.

Responsibilities

• Support the front office desks in managing risk utilization by proactively collaborating with the business and second line risk functions to manage down or resize risk appetites, facilitate risk and reward (i.e., profit and loss) analysis, and ensure controls are adopted and aligned across the desks.
• Respond to queries and challenges from the business, second line risk functions, finance teams, auditors, or regulators to ensure sound risk management and controls are adhered to.
• Work with the front office, project managers, and developers on the design and development of new risk management frameworks and capabilities.
• Drive sustainable business growth by developing new risk management approaches, tools, and analytics to create efficiencies within the team and implement better controls for new products and markets.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in risk analytics/management.
• Good university degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Financial Engineering, Computing).
• Strong ability to decipher data to perform quantitative analysis.
• Analytical and independent thinker with good written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex technical subjects in a simple, straightforward manner to senior management.
• Self-driven, able to provide creative or alternative solutions to address business problems and achieve objectives.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to fast-changing requirements of the business and industry.
