This full-time internship programme offers you real-time exposure to the Exchange business and the finance value chain, with involvement in day-to-day work from Day 1. Leave of Absence (LOA) may be required to take on the internship.

Compliance

Brief Overview

The LCC team is responsible for SGX Group’s legal, compliance, and corporate secretarial matters globally, and across all its subsidiaries and businesses. This covers trading, clearing, settlement, depository, market data and connectivity, indices and benchmarks, and other market infrastructure and technology platforms.

Learning Objectives

• Gain insight into the corporate governance of a listed company
• Learn day-to-day administration and operations of the legal, compliance, and corporate secretarial unit
• Understand financial sector regulation for exchanges and the interaction between internal stakeholders to ensure compliance

Job Description

• Assist in the coordination of regulatory inspections
• Support the optimization of compliance processes, workflows, and administrative tasks
• Help organise compliance-related events and engagements
• Provide general support on compliance matters across SGX Group
• Assist with Level 1 reviews related to Data Loss Prevention, Staff Dealing, and KYC/AML alerts
• Facilitate the preparation of compliance management reports and dashboards
• Contribute to ad-hoc compliance projects, including research, drafting, and implementation support

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Prior exposure to Compliance, Risk, and/or Legal functions preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Collaborative and able to work effectively across teams
