This internship programme is full-time. Interns are involved in real-time work from Day 1.

Note: Leave of Absence (LOA) may be required to take on the internship.

Short Overview on the Unit/Team

The Listing Compliance team monitors listed companies’ compliance with continuing listing obligations.

Learning Objectives

• Acquire knowledge of listing rules.
• Learn how to apply listing rules and tailor them to the specific circumstances of each case.
• Develop an understanding of various corporate actions such as placements, rights issues, acquisitions and disposals.
• Develop analytical and soft skills, including interpersonal skills, teamwork and presentation competency.

Job Description

• Report to the Team Leader and Head, Listing Compliance, and manage a portfolio of listed issuers.
• Monitor compliance with listing rules and liaise with issuers and professionals on regulatory matters.
• Process simple to moderate corporate actions within the relevant timeframe.
• Review financial statements and annual reports.
• Attend meetings related to portfolio companies and maintain minutes of such discussions.
• Provide support to team members.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Some knowledge in Accounting or Finance.
• Interest in reading.
• Good command of English, including the ability to write short memorandums.
• Analytical thinking.
• Good presentation skills.
