FX & Commodities Operations Analyst, Markets & Securities Services

Role Purpose

The Asia Regional FX & Commodities function in Hong Kong supports the FX & Commodities Operations target operating model for 19 sites across the Asia Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, the role encompasses post-trade analytics and client services for local corporates with local language requirements, as well as support for specialized products and business, including the Precious Metals (Commodities) business.

Responsibilities

• Cover specific confirmations and settlement operational processes for Foreign Exchange & Commodities contracts, plus the Precious Metals custody process.
• Perform day-to-day BAU processes with interactions across internal bank functions in different geographies and with external clients.
• Monitor trade lifecycles promptly to ensure settlements are completed within tight deadlines and in compliance with all risk controls.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and pro-activeness to manage client expectations.
• Apply problem-solving skills to support client efficiency and post-trade analytics to improve operational processes and add value to client services.
• Follow FIM processing control principles to ensure transactions are processed accurately, with no operational errors or losses, in line with Global Standards.

• Strategic thinking: understanding the essence of process designs and controls.
• Good communication skills with clear, concise articulation of details.
• Subject Matter Expert (optional): knowledge and prior experience with Global Market products, including Precious Metals, and related end-to-end operational processes and controls (e.g., confirmations, settlements, GL posting, Nostro/Suspense account reconciliations) would be an advantage.
