Corporate Finance
The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business provides expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and related advisory services for a broad range of clients. Scope
The Industrials team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add a Financial Analyst in London.

Responsibilities
As a Financial Analyst, you will:
- Prepare, analyse, and help explain historical and projected financial information
- Create financial models
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations
- Conduct research on sectors, companies, and potential buyers
- Value companies and businesses
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors
- Assist in planning of engagements
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate thinks strategically, is motivated, detail-oriented, creative, outgoing, and possesses excellent quantitative skills. Qualifications and experience include:
- Strong academic track record and achieved at least a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- 1–2 years of full-time investment banking experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A); Industrials sector experience is favourable
- Demonstrable experience in executing sell-side transactions
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
- Excellent understanding of financial statement analysis, including the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
- Strong understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and hit deadlines in a highly organised manner
- Independent, solutions-focused mindset
- Exceptional work ethic
- Fluency in a European language is strongly favourable (for example French, German, Spanish, or Italian)
