Corporate Finance
The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business provides expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients. The firm also engineers and executes financing solutions essential for growth and success, with access to financing in public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities. In EMEA, the team serves companies ranging from middle-market privately owned enterprises to large multinational organizations, supported by a growing platform of professionals and offices across the region.
Industrials

Scope
The Industrials team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add a Financial Analyst in London.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and help explain historical and projected financial information
- Create financial models
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations
- Conduct research on sectors, companies, and potential buyers
- Value companies and businesses
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors
- Assist in planning of engagements
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate thinks strategically, is motivated, detail-oriented, creative, outgoing, and possesses excellent quantitative skills. If you have the following qualifications and experience, the firm would like to hear from you:
- Strong academic track record and achieved at least a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- 1–2 years of full-time investment banking experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A); experience in the Industrials sector is favourable
- Demonstrable experience in executing sell-side transactions
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
- Excellent understanding of financial statement analysis, with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
- Excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a highly organised manner
- An independent, solutions-focused mindset
- An exceptional work ethic
- Fluency in a European language is strongly favourable (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Italian)
