Chief People Organization (CPO) Summer Analyst Program – 2027
The Chief People Organization (CPO) Summer Analyst Program is designed to introduce students to Bank of America’s organization that is responsible for making Bank of America a great place to work by serving as a strategic partner to every business across the enterprise. The program provides hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to leaders across the enterprise while building foundational skills for a career in Human Resources or related fields.
This is a 10-week summer internship. Summer Analysts are aligned to one CPO team and participate in structured training, project-based work, mentorship, networking, and professional development sessions throughout the program.
Role Overview
Summer Analysts support key initiatives across the Chief People Organization while gaining exposure to how human capital strategy enables the business. Interns contribute to meaningful work aligned to real-time business priorities and develop analytical, communication, and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support initiatives that advance Bank of America’s workplace culture
- Contribute to HR operations, business advisory work, and special projects
- Assist with measurement of performance, analysis, and reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
- Support programs that communicate the company’s brand and value
- Prepare and support internal communications and presentations
Day in the Life
Summer Analysts work as part of a collaborative Chief People Organization team. A typical week includes supporting project work, attending team and stakeholder meetings, preparing analysis or presentations, and participating in training sessions, networking events, mentorship meetings, speaker series, and community service opportunities. Rotations and exposure to the following sub-lines of business could include: The Academy, Compensation & Benefits, Global Corporate Opportunity, Employee Relations, External Communications, Global Corporate Communications, Global Talent, Talent Acquisition, Governance, Operations Analytics & Transformation, HR Generalists, Life Event Services, Global Opportunity & Inclusion, Workforce Development, Arts & Heritage.
Educational Requirements

Educational Qualifications
Degree Type: Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor’s direct to Master’s degree from an accredited institution
- Considered candidates should be in their penultimate year of school
- Master’s candidates should not have more than 0 years of experience
Graduation Dates: November 2027 – August 2028
Major / Course of Study
Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial or Organizational Psychology, Industrial and Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Communications, Economics, International Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, or related fields
GPA
3.2 minimum GPA preferred
