Investment Banking Internship Programs

In the Investment Banking division, we provide global expertise in market analysis and advisory and capital-raising services for corporations, institutions, and governments. Morgan Stanley is a worldwide leader in Investment Banking and is recognized for its work across Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), underwriting of equity transactions, corporate debt issuance, and high-yield debt financing.

Industrial Placement & Summer Analyst Programs

Our Industrial Placement & Summer Analysts participate in an immersive orientation program to learn about our culture and the benefits and responsibilities of being part of the Firm. You will also complete an intensive division-specific training program focused on building a foundation in the basic skills of financial analysis, accounting, and valuation, while working on a wide range of transactions.

Throughout the internship, you will have opportunities to exchange ideas and network with peers, mentors, and senior managers through team-building sessions. You will also work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects and gain a realistic view of Investment Banking by assuming the functions of Full-Time Analysts.

Role and Responsibilities

The role of Industrial Placement & Summer Analysts may include:

• Analyzing detailed company, industry, and financial information
• Preparing financial analyses and exhibits, including comparable company, precedent transaction, and performance benchmarking materials
• Building financial models to evaluate valuation and transaction outcomes
• Assisting in the preparation of marketing materials, including pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations
• Supporting the execution of M&A, equity, and debt transactions

Qualifications and Skills

• You are pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a graduation date between October 2027 and July 2028
• Knowledge of and a keen interest in finance
• Analytical, adaptive, multi-tasking team player with a strong work ethic and leadership skills
• High level of motivation and attention to detail
• Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English is required
• Business fluency in Mandarin is an advantage for the program in Hong Kong
• Business fluency in a South East Asian language is an advantage for the program in Singapore
• Business fluency in Korean is required for the program in Seoul

Internship Period

• Industrial Placement Program: 6 months between January and July 2027
• Summer Analyst Program: 10 weeks between June and August 2027
