Key Responsibilities

  • Performs standard Tier I procedures including wafer measurement.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and wet cleans independently. Assists senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed.
  • Disassembles, cleans and rebuilds kits as part of kit management quality.
  • Learns and applies diagnostic techniques and uses documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.
  • Able to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
  • Strives to perform BKM’s. Uses knowledge management systems. Follows all IP guidelines.
  • Represents Applied Materials to the customer with professional demeanor and strong customer service skills; maintains a neat and orderly work area; demonstrates a positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value.
  • Performs any other job assigned by the manager.

Other Requirements

This is a physically demanding position that often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors, and the ability to work in a noisy environment. Use of hand and power tools is required. Since this position generally involves working in a clean room, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields are required.

Work Schedule

The position requires the candidate to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including both day and night rotations, and to perform overtime as required by operational needs.
