Internship Details
Internship Project Title: Smart Factory – Automated Assembly or Final Test of Epitaxy Process Chamber
Traineeship Project Description
- Carry out a continuous-improvement project within the semiconductor equipment manufacturing line, targeting enhancements in assembly or final test performance.
- Analyze production and equipment data to identify bottlenecks, quality issues, or cost drivers, and develop improvement actions that reduce costs, improve quality, and shorten cycle time.
- Gain exposure to robotics-assisted operations and learn how emerging AI/ML-based tools can support smarter decision-making in a modern smart-factory environment.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to validate findings, implement corrective actions, and measure outcomes.
Desired Skills Required
- Strong learning desire.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of mechanical drawings and electrical/electronic wiring diagrams.
- Basic Python programming logic.
- Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.
Learning Outcome
This internship aims to develop future semiconductor manufacturing engineers by enabling the Trainee to gain proficiency in analyzing production data and identifying improvement opportunities.
By the end of the internship, the Trainee will understand the functionality of major semiconductor equipment components and apply problem-solving and root-cause analysis methods. The Trainee will also be able to manage small-scale projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
