Role
As an Investment Professional in the China Market Team, you will work closely with our Client Advisors to provide support in all facets of daily business routine, while maintaining awareness of, and sensitivity to the confidential nature of Private Banking clients.
Responsibilities
- Own the full trading life-cycle, from pre-trade checks, trade execution to booking and post-trade checks, including risk disclosures, product marketing obligations and reporting execution details to clients.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of all asset classes and products offered by the Private Bank.
- Manage documentation (Alternatives, Suitability, Investment Parameters, OTC, etc.).
- Act as a primary contact with external clients for day-to-day account administration, servicing, and execution of investment securities and products.
- Partner with the Client Service team and other members of the broader team in the daily management of accounts and credit facilities, and any other accounts or activities relating to the overall client relationships.
- Assist advisors in preparation for client meetings, and help prepare and provide analysis of investment performance or other client presentations.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business or equivalent in any discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of client service and/or relationship manager support experience in Private Bank, with background in brokerage and/or trading.
- Fluent written and spoken business Mandarin is essential to support Chinese-speaking clients.
- Dynamic and independent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills in delivering exceptional client services, capable of proactively engaging multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority to meet strict timelines and operate with ownership and urgency. Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Ability to work under tight market deadlines and maintain accuracy when executing Clients’ directed orders.
- Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with good judgment from risk and escalation perspectives.
- Self-starter, highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively, with good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- CACS certification is essential for performing the duties associated with this role and ensuring regulatory compliance.
