About the Role

The Corporate and Leveraged Finance Group (CLF) at Crédit Agricole CIB encompasses expertise in Financing Solutions for Funds, Corporate Debt Origination, Acquisition Finance & Advisory, Leveraged Finance, and TMT Finance. The Fund Solutions Group for North America (FSG NA) provides Asset Managers and Financial Sponsors with integrated and tailored financing solutions, covering all funds financing needs, including, but not limited to: sublines, equity bridges, Hybrid / NAV, bridge-to-bridge facilities, and management company facilities.

FSG NA is seeking a recent university graduate with relevant education and financial industry experience. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of Credit Agricole’s CLF FSG franchise, assisting in all aspects of deal execution.

The Analyst will support junior and senior bankers by providing portfolio management (ongoing daily tasks such as internal reporting, note-taking, and tracking), assisting in financial and credit analysis, reviewing fund documents, conducting market research, and providing general support across various projects.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, open-mindedness, a knack for learning, excellent analytical and communication skills, superior organizational ability, and the capacity to work under pressure with tight timelines. An understanding of banking and capital markets is essential.

U.S. Analyst Program Details

This program is designed for recent college graduates interested in finance and investment banking to actively participate in a fast-paced and challenging industry. The U.S. Analyst position is available for a maximum of two years, with the goal of developing the ideal candidate for a potential permanent position.

Salary: $100,000

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

• Maintain ongoing pipeline tracking of all current and upcoming deals, including tracking work streams and next steps.
• Manage various reports and spreadsheets containing internal tracking items, such as daily, weekly, and monthly profitability and risk metrics.
• Maintain internal databases and all monitoring and reporting tools for the entire portfolio of transactions.
• Assist in preparing internal reporting requirements for local and head office teams as well as senior management.

Deal Lifecycle Tasks

• Assist in preparing client, external, and internal presentation materials, including pitch books and lender’s presentation materials and term sheets.
• Prepare financial analysis on funds and funds vehicles.
• Assist in preparing transaction memorandums, credit analysis, and credit requests.
• Craft clear and succinct written analyses of fund performance, industry market trends, and related commentary.
• Review legal documentation and prepare closing memos.
• Collaborate with team members, credit, legal, relationship managers, operations, and senior management to ensure timely and accurate information gathering and analysis.

Candidate Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Minimal Education Level: Bachelor's Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent.
• Academic Qualification/Specialty: Essential: Recent or soon-to-be college graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field with an excellent educational record.
• Level of Minimal Experience: 0–2 years.

Minimum Requirements

• Candidate must be eligible to work in the US.
• Candidate does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including F1, OPT, CPT).
• Fluent proficiency in English is required.

Required and Preferred Skills

Required Skills:

• Expert proficiency and strong computer skills in the use of all Microsoft Suite products (including but not limited to: Excel—including data formatting, analysis, tables, charts, validation, advanced formulas, and macro creation; PowerPoint; Word; Outlook) as these tools will be utilized daily.
• Proficiency in the use of Bloomberg.
